Summer Vaca '09 - Day 2

I got up at 7:00 to get ready before breakfast. I heard Isaiah trying to get into the bathroom, and when I opened the door he said, "Who is this? Mommy!" HAHAHA We must quiz him a lot. He puts Who is this or What is this in front of everything.

Mallory sat in the high chair at breakfast for the first time today!
Breakfast was included with our hotel room, and it was FANTASTIC! Tim came back from the buffet line and said sadly, "There are no eggs!" Right behind him was the waiter - "Can we fix you an omelet?" Nice! Yes, please!

We made it to the museum around 10:45. Here's the only picture I have of a Harry Potter exhibit. No photography allowed inside the exhibit. :-(

The Weasley's flying car!

The exhibit was GREAT! They had wands, costumes, dorm room beds, books, mandrakes, and so much more from all of the movies. We even got to see a Quidditch costume from the 6th movie that doesn't come out until next week! I really wish photography had been allowed. It was so cool, I really can't explain it with words.

Isaiah's favorite was, of course, the train exhibit.

Mallory liked to watch some robots in the toy making area.

Mallory in the mirror maze.

A very social little chick came right over to say chirp, chirp to Isaiah.

U-505 Submarine - They had a really cool video showing how they got this sub inside the building. They had to build a concrete base and use cranes to lower the sub into it. Then they built the rest of the building around it.

Mommy and Mallory at the Fairy Castle

Isaiah learning at one of the water exhibits.

Daddy and Isaiah inside the 747 inside the building

We were VERY HUNGRY by the time we left. Traffic was horrible, but we made it through okay. One of the positive points to traffic, is we were moving slow enough to get some pictures of the city. I have about a bazillion pictures of the Arch from driving thru St. Louis...
...and the Sears Tower in Chicago.
I am especially proud of this picture. You should see the black and white version. I think I'm going to frame that one!
Both of the kids slept. We're in Pewaukee at a Radisson tonight. Free dinner at the Thunder Bay Grille and free in-room movie brought us back. Time to log off for tonight and enjoy the movie - State of Play starring Ben Affleck and Russell Crowe.
