First Dance

Isaiah attended his first dance tonight! He had tons of fun with his dates - Emma and Maddie. He also enjoyed McDonald's chicken nuggets for the first time. Check back later this weekend. I'll try to post Snowball Dance pictures.

Are You Kidding Me?

Tim says we're supposed to get more snow. I was driving home today from work, and a business had a sign up that said "Free snow with purchase." Hilarious!

It's been a busy week, and this computer I'm using stinks. I promise my blog will be more interesting when I am able to use a better computer. Don't forget to vote in my new poll! Who is your favorite Friend?

Great Friends

I am blessed with such wonderful friends here in Appleton. Here are pictures of Isaiah with blankets made by my super-duper friends Tracy and Gretchen. We love you guys!

Belated Birthday Wishes

Better late than never.

Last Monday, February 18th, was Isaiah's 1st Baptismal Birthday. Looking back over the course of the year, it is much, much, much more difficult to convince him to behave in church now than it was last February.

Happy Baptismal Birthday, sweet boy!

Love,
Mom

The Most Important Job of All

Parenting.

We are starting to look for a new child care provider for Isaiah in the fall. Unlucky for us, we have to start thinking about this now because of potential waiting lists. It is incredibly hard to decide who will take care of your child during the work day.

Guess what?!?! I can see 2 more teeth coming in! Isaiah will soon have 4 up top, and 2 on the bottom.

To completely change the subject, we dropped my computer off at Best Buy today. They have to send it off to Geek Squad Central for repairs, so for now I am banished to the basement with the piece of you-know-what "milk" computer. I swear, I type and the words don't appear until 30 seconds later. The delay is really quite annoying. When you press the delete key different punctuation marks pop up. Sometimes it starts to type in all caps. (And, no, the caps lock is not on.) Ugh!!!

P.S. Did I mention that I am still crabby?

P.P.S. Dad, Isaiah and I thawed left-over sausage gravy for breakfast this morning. He LOVED it! (I did, too. :-)

Crabby

Crabby. That's me. I was up at 4:45 this morning to work on my grad class project. Unfortunately, I didn't get much work done.

Oh, well. There's always tomorrow...

Eclipse

Did you see the eclipse tonight, or was it "cloudy"? (Mom, you'll get that one! hahaha)

Not really...

...much to say tonight. We are busy, busy, busy, and sick, sick, sick of the snow. There were accidents all over Highway 41 today! I ended up taking the back roads home because there was one stretch closed. Slow down out there, people! The roads might look clear, but there is still ice out there!

Did you remember to vote (if you live in Wisconsin, anyway)?

First time playing in the snow

Isaiah was full of giggles while he was playing.

Hmmm... Where did the mailbox go?

Snowed In

We ended up canceling the second session of the Spaghetti Dinner today. Winter Storm Isabella is pretty ferocious. We are expecting 10+ inches of snow. We are currently getting 1-2 inches per hour. Why, oh why can't all of this snow be falling on a school day? Oh, well.

But, we can still receive our mail!

Grocery Shopping

Why did I go to Wal-Mart on a Saturday afternoon? It was packed! It was also late enough in the afternoon for some of the shelves to be bare. Guess how much I saved in coupons, though! Go on... Take a guess!

Higher, higher, that's right - $11!

My child has taken to screaming when he doesn't get his way. I had no idea this started so early.

We have yet another big snow coming tomorrow. Hopefully, this won't affect the attendance at the spaghetti dinner. This is a great fundraiser for the youth at church, it's tons of fun, and the food tastes great. So, all you Appleton people out there reading this, don't forget to come by for your spaghetti tomorrow! :-)

Click-Click-Click-Click

That is the sound my car made this morning when I attempted to start it. Apparently, my battery was sick of winter in Wisconsin. Thanks to my wonderful husband, the problem has been resolved.

Holly-Re is doing quite well after her tonsilectomy today. Last night on the phone, I asked her what was going to happen. She said, "I'm going to the doctor. They're going to put me to sleep, and do magic with their magic wands. They are going to do magic to take out the princesses." How precious is that?!?!

I hope you have a restful weekend. We have the big Spaghetti Dinner at church. It is tons of fun!

Winter Storm Hunter

Well, that was a rough drive home! I will be glad when winter is over. I won't complain about a 45 minute drive because I am so tired of it taking an hour and a half. But, thankfully, I made it home safe. The roads were quite scary, though! We were advised via e-mail to stay off of I-43 because it was "treacherous". One of my co-workers was kind enough to follow me home on the back roads. We drove slowly, and I prayed that I was driving in the lane. Everything is covered in white. Not only are the roads slick, but they can hardly be seen in some places.

My neice, Holly, will be having surgery tomorrow to have her tonsils removed. Please say a prayer for her. She doesn't really have a clue what is going to happen. She is only 4, after all, so it probably wouldn't hurt to say a prayer for my sister, too. :-)

So, it's Valentine's Day. Tim just left for work. Happy Valentine's Day... So, I'm here at home with my other Valentine. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Isaiah looks like he's training to drive the snow plow. How cute is he?!?!

Happy Valentine's Day,
becky

Do Re Me

I joined the church choir in January. It is so much fun! The people are great, and the songs are beautiful. We are working on music for the Good Friday service. I will be playing the flute accompaniment for one of the songs. It feels great to be doing this for me. I don't have the most beautiful voice, but I can carry a tune at least.

To completely change the subject, I am having issues with my computer. We suspect it is the hard drive. For now, I am banished to the famous milk/hair dryer computer in the basement. (If you haven't heard the story, it is pretty funny. Just imagine a spilled glass of milk and what the heat from a hair dryer being used to dry the milk up can do to a computer.) Anyway, my posts might be short until my computer is fixed because this machine isn't the greatest either.

Big snow coming tonight! Hopefully, the roads won't be awful tomorrow.

Be safe,
becky

Keeping Up With the House

What a big job! Why does it seem like I can never keep up with the housework? I realize that there is always something to be done, but daily chores could take all day! Let's be honest though. If I had all day, I would probably still be complaining that it is not enough time.

Well, I guess I should go get to the chores. This is my blog, so I can complain if I want to.

Stay warm,
becky

Baby Steps

In my opinion, we can officially say that Isaiah is walking! He crossed the entire living room this evening! He went very slow, but he did not give up. He will usually get frustrated and start to crawl, but he was carrying a graham cracker with him. Isaiah quickly learned that he can walk and eat, but not crawl and eat. :-)

I hope your day was dandy! I can't complain about mine. Time to get the little buddy to bed now, so good night!

If Only

If only today were tomorrow. We have a wind chill advisory - wind chills could reach 35 degrees below zero. When this happens on a school day, we close and get the day off. Oh, well. C'est la vie.

There's not much going on around here today. Tim has the cold that I had been battling over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully, Isaiah will be spared this round of illness. I've been getting caught up on a few things - laundry, book club reading, school work, etc. Isaiah has been playing, playing, playing with his toys. I took some very cute video of him today playing with the sunlight that was coming in through the front windows. He was trying to close his hand around the light to "catch" it. What a sweetie-pie!

Have a swell day tomorrow,
becky

Slow down on those slippery roads!

I called 911 today on my way home from my grad class in Manitowoc to report an accident. Somebody, probably driving too fast, put their pick-up truck on its side. They were trying to climb out when I drove past.

Will the snow ever end?!?!

A quick Isaiah update for you - his 4th tooth has started to come in. He already has 2 teeth on the bottom, so he will soon have 2 up top. The sleepless nights are a-comin'... Teething is a real treat, let me tell ya'.

Isaiah - Dressed Up For Church

Don't you just love the button down shirt?
I managed to snap the picture before he drooled all over it.

Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome to the Seabaugh Family Blog!

Hopefully, this will keep you updated with the latest-happenings up here in Wisconsin. Isaiah is growing like a weed, and has quite a personality. I am not on my home computer right now, so I can't post a picture. Check back soon, though! We have hundreds and hundreds of adorable pictures that I cannot wait to share with you.

Be sure to check out the poll question. I have already voted myself. I come from a family of ranch dressing eaters, so I have chosen that as my sacrifice during this Lenten season. We put ranch on everything! Tim thinks I should give up coffee or caffeine, but I just can't do it. I gotta' have my Starbucks! In a conversation with my sister, Jenny, I came up with the ranch dressing idea. I figure it will help support my efforts to live a healthier life. Salad dressings can be so unhealthy!

Well, since I'm talking about something that no one really cares about, I guess that means I am officially blogging! Yeah, me!

If you don't blog, you should try it! It is really quite fun! :-)

Have a super day,
becky
