Easter Sunday

He is risen!  He is risen, indeed!  Alleluia!

Easter Sunday is such a wonderful day.  We had beautiful weather up here this year, so it was especially fun for Mallory to wear a dress.  It was a traditional day for our family - church (sunrise service at 6:30 a.m.!), brunch at church, then a turkey and ham lunch at home as a family.  Sunrise service was really nice.  It was still dark outside when we left for church.  Mallory promptly noticed this and said, "Oh no!  I think we woke up too early!"  It was so funny!

 It is nearly impossible to get both kids to look at the camera at the same time.  This is the best I could do for a brother/sister picture.

Welcome to the Club!

I was so excited that we were able to attend my friend Rachel's wedding while we were in Pensacola. Rachel and I worked together when I taught 3rd grade at Redeemer Lutheran School. (She was the 1st grade teacher.) It was great for Tim and I to spend some time visiting with all of our past work buddies.

We took the kids with us to the wedding, but then my parents watched them while Tim and I attended the reception (and had a little date night at the beach after!).

We wish Rachel and Nathan all the best as they begin their life together with a new call to Des Moines, Iowa. Congratulations!!!

VBS 2011

The theme for Vacation Bible School this year was Pandamania. Mallory had a blast; Isaiah was a little overwhelmed. I think we got things figured out by the end of the week, though, so that Isaiah could get a lot out of the experience, too. He is still singing the song, so I'm so glad that we took the kids again this year!

Time for Tea!

A few weeks ago, I took Mallory to a Ladies' Tea Party at church. It was so much fun to get all dressed up, and have some one-on-one time out of the house.

Mallory was all decked out in her H&M dress, new sandals, and Vera bag.
