Baseball Eh

Isaiah says, "Baseball Yo!" when we're in Milwaukee, so I thought it would be appropriate to say, "Baseball Eh" for Minnesota. :)

While in Minneapolis, we also took in a Twins game at their new ballpark - Target Field. It is a beautiful stadium!!! We were quite impressed.

Go, team!

Isaiah enjoyed the game. Now that he is 3, we have to purchase a ticket for him, too. It makes it a little more expensive, but the extra wiggle room is nice.

Mallory was so sleepy after the game. I can't believe how big she's getting!

Nickelodeon Friends

While we were in Minneapolis a few weeks ago, we spent some time at the Mall of America. Isaiah and Mallory really enjoyed meeting some of their favorite friends who star in some of their favorite shows. :)

Train Stop

Every year when we visit Tim's grandparents in Willmar, MN, we drive through this tiny little town (which I believe is called Dassel) that has a (small) train museum. We have said many times that we would stop for Isaiah, and this year we did.

These two are BFFs!

I know that you can't see the kids' faces, but I really like this picture. We're going to frame it for Isaiah's bedroom.

Isaiah looks so deep in thought here, like he's planning how to take this train home with him. :)

Mallory didn't want to leave. She was having so much fun! She kept running back and forth inside the caboose, so that I couldn't get her. Silly girl!

The Commentary

What is up with blogger? Blogger is being a booger. (Insert laughter here.) For some reason I can't format anything. When I insert pictures, all I see is code, so it's impossible to explain the pictures. Ugh.

This post has the comments I would like to put with the pictures in the next post, "Visit with the Werder Grandparents".

Picture #1 - Aren't they adorable? We were all talking and Mallory and Isaiah just stood there hugging. :)

Pictures 2 & 3 - Mallory saying hello to her great grandparents.

Pictures 4 & 5 - Isaiah saying hello to his great grandparents.

Picture #6 - I think this is a really cool picture. :)

P.S. You don't see me because I always seem to be the one taking the pictures. (Ahem, Tim.)

P.P.S. We have an adorable picture of the kids walking together in Grandpa's garden, but it has not been e-mailed to me yet. (Double ahem, Tim.)

Menu Monday

Summer is going by so fast. I can't believe it! I'll be back to school before you know it. :( It's lots of fun staying home with the kids, but sometimes I think they miss their teachers and friends at their school. (When they talk about them a lot, that's a big clue!)

Veggie of the Week: green beans
Fruit of the Week: strawberries and blueberries
Dessert of the Week: Angel food cake with cool whip and fresh berries (I've been on this kick since we saw Tim's grandparents in Minnesota at the end of June. It is gooood! Low cal, low fat, and super yummy!)
Monday
French toast and sausage
Spaghetti - an Isaiah and Mallory favorite! I made homemade vegetable marinara sauce last week, and it is goooood!
Tuesday
Cereal
Leftovers
Wednesday
French toast sticks
Grilled cheese sandwiches
Thursday-Sunday
Can I get back to you on this? Tim will be leaving for the National Youth Gathering, and my mom, sister, and two nieces will be coming to visit! We haven't discussed our menu yet. We plan to grocery shop when they get here.

Noah's Ark

We had our annual Youth Noah's Ark trip at the end of June. It is always such a fun day! The kids enjoyed themselves so, so, so much. Slidewinders is by far my favorite slide. It's pretty basic, but you don't have to carry any kind of tube or mat up the stairs, there is never a line, and Mallory could even ride with me! Isaiah was turning blue he was so cold, but he kept saying, "Want some more waterpark!"

When we got there, I saw another pastor and his family. I thought I recognized them, and I was right! It turns out it was another pastor's wife/mommy whose blog I follow! I had never met her in person, so I introduced myself to her in a way that I hope was more your-blogging-inspires-me than I'm-a-crazy-person. :)

Look how tired the kids were! yaaawwwnnn....

Always a fun time, especially when we all escape without sunburns. Can't wait until next year!
