Just a Little Impatient

Isaiah loves tubby time. Mallory has a new bath seat, so she can sit in there with him. They have lots of fun with the bubbles and bath toys. It's a lot easier on me to bathe both of them at the same time, too! It takes half the time which is really nice.
Isaiah was getting a little impatient for his tubby one night. Yes, that is a picture of our child, in the bath tub, with his clothes ON. I stepped into the hallway to grab his towel, and he climbed right on in! He was halfway in when I returned, but I let him get the rest of the way in for a picture. Hey, it was cute! :-)
Tubby time!

New Toys

Isaiah really likes the new easel that my dad made for him. It's the perfect size for his height. Thank you, PawPaw!

Little Miss has been quite the stinker, and rejects her bottle. After 7 good months of nursing, I suppose I'm not surprised. She did well with a bottle when I worked after maternity leave, but her silly mother (me) forgot to give her a bottle every once in a while during the past two summer months. Now, she HATES the bottle. Can you blame me? Nursing her is so much easier!
With school just around the corner, I've got to get her ready for day care. She might not like a bottle, but we're amazed by how well she has taken to a sippy cup!

Mallory's Half Birthday

On July 8th, Mallory turned 6 months old. She is getting so big! She's sitting up all by herself, and loves to eat her veggies and fruits. Her favorites are sweet peas, green beans, and prunes (ew!).

When she turns 1, I'll post the picture of her in this chair from each month. I can't believe how big she's getting! I'm really lucky to be home during the summer with my kids.

Mallory showed off her sitting skills by sitting up in the seat for most of the Photo Studio by Mommy photo shoot.

I want to grab my toes!

Smile, pretty girl!

Ignore the toys all of the place in the background...

P.S. Since I'm behind, I'm going to put the date some of my pictures were taken at the end of my blog posts. I use my blog when I work on the kids' scrapbooks.

Summer Vaca ’09 – Day 14

Let’s go home.

It was a great vacation, but man will it be nice to sleep in our own beds!

After a museum, a Brewer game, a day of fishing (for Tim), introducing Mallory to lots of family, a wedding, beach time, pool time, a Cardinal game, lots of good food, some puking from some not-so-good food, 8 different beds, and countless hours in the car, I am SO READY to be home.

I think we’ll be needing a vacation from our vacation.

Summer Vaca ’09 – Day 13

Today is a day in St. Louis with Tim’s family and our good friend (best man from our wedding), Aaron. We were disappointed that Aaron’s wife, Julie, could not join us, but his buddy Chris was good to see.

We met up with Tim’s younger sister, Abby, at Incredible Pizza for lunch. We got there at just the right time; Tim and I were able to get a free round of miniature golf free with our lunch. The next stop that we made was the Seminary. We picked up a couple of books there. They have these really good Bible story books for the kids. They’re called Arch books, and the stories are told through a rhyming story.

We checked in at our hotel, which was the Drury Inn - Convention Center in downtown St. Louis. After a quick walk along the Landing, we ate supper before the ballgame. (Food inside Busch Stadium is VERY expensive.) I HAD LION’S CHOICE! Yummy!

Time for baseball, yo! It was a great game! Just as Albert Pujols was going up to bat, I said to Tim that it’s been a while since we’ve seen him hit a home run in person. I must have said the magic words because he hit one! Then, he hit another one at his next at-bat!

Aunt Joan was at the game. We connected via cell phone. (Where would we be without cell phones???) She came to see us at our seats. It was great to see her again after Jeanna’s wedding. She and I didn’t have a chance to visit there, but we had such a nice visit at the game.

We entered on the other side of the stadium, so I didn't get this picture in the daylight like I had hoped.

Aunt Rachel and Isaiah

We could still see the fancy grass from the All Star Game.

Aunt Joan!

Aunt Joan is my mom's younger sister.

Aunt Rachel and Mallory - I love Mallory's face here. She was squealing happy noises!

Isaiah and Daddy

Mallory loves Aaron!

Booper fell asleep!

Rachel's husband, Terry, navigated Isaiah through the crowd after the game.

Summer Vaca ’09 – Day 12

Jenny, Dad, Mom, and Becky (I'm the one with the Wisconsin tan - HAHAHA!)

Today, we begin the return trip home. I am incredibly sad to be leaving my family, but it will be nice to sleep in my own bed. Two more nights, I keep telling myself. It will be interesting because Isaiah and Mallory are both used to sleeping nearby us.

Bye! We'll be back in about 5 minutes to look for Tim's wallet!

Not much to say since we were in the car all day. We arrived in Cape in time for supper. We made it to Pagliai’s Pizza Parlor, which Tim was really excited about. They’ve been closed every time before that we’ve tried to go.

Summer Vaca ’09 – Day 11

Today was more of a day to just hang out and relax. We did venture out to Jenny and Ryan’s house to meet their new dog, Lizzy.

Shelby and her art gallery

Holly and her art gallery

Please, oh please, oh please! Let me in!

Isaiah liked Lizzy's cage.

Lizzy looks so much like our old lab, Duchess, that it's ridiculous!
After a quick stop at Target, it was home for lunch (leftovers, plus PawPaw’s famous chicken salad).

Pool time!
Tim, Isaiah, and Mallory wore themselves out swimming, so they all took a nap. I swam a little longer with my mom, sister, and nieces, then showered and cleaned out the car. We just got here, and it’s already time to organize our things to leave. :-(

We all went for supper at Casa Ole, then came home for birthday dessert leftovers and tubbies.

You have to improvise when you're away from home without the baby tubby!
