Vacation - Day 6 (7.18.08)

There were green and purple flags flying the beach today. The green flag means calm surf, but the purple flag is a warning of hazardous marine life. Apparently the jellies were bad, but we didn't see too many. By the time we left, they had taken the purple flag down.

Isaiah was a little nervous about the sand at first, but he really started to enjoy himself.

This beach might be really hot, but it sure is fun! The water temperature was around 84 degrees!

The white on the horizon in the middle of the picture is sand blowing around near Fort Pickens. The road to Fort Pickens is still closed due to hurricane damage, but you can walk or ride a bicycle down there.

I'm trying to work up my nerve...


Try to find the dark shadow in the center of this picture. It was a HUGE stingray - probably the size of a picnic table!

Isaiah is definitely a fan of flounder chowder!

Now this is a real piece of key lime pie!


We stopped by Publix on the way home for some Boar's Head lunch meat. It's the best!

No nibbling fish in this water!

Vacation - Day 5 (7.17.08)

After our scrumptious breakfast of Dad's famous biscuits & gravy, we took a ride out to Redeemer to see our old stomping grounds. Here is our first house!

Lunch at Captain D's followed our visit to Redeemer, and then a dip in the pool! Shelby is very relaxed in the ring.

Holly says, "Watch me go under water!"



Tim went to Mobile for a Bay Bears game with his buddies Dan and Stefan. We went to Steak-n-Shake (YUM!) for dinner. We also shopped at Target and Barnes & Noble. Thank you, Mom and Dad for the yummy Key Lime Cheesecake!




Bitsy is doing a great job taking Isaiah. He likes to flick at her ears.

Vacation - Day 4 (7.16.08)


I'll miss you, Grandma and Grandpa! Mommy and Daddy are still singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to me!

Nap time in the car - Isaiah slept from Memphis, TN to Jackson, MS. Lunch at Chik-fil-A was so yummy!

Vacation - Day 3 (7.15.08)

Vacation - Day 2 (7.14.08)

Wake-up time - around 8:15 a.m.

Isaiah enjoyed sitting with Grandma while Grandpa cooked breakfast (eggs, toast, and bacon).

We went to Memorial Park in Cape to see the peacocks.


Isaiah is walking with his dad and grandpa at Memorial Park. Next, we tried the Nature Center, but it's closed on Mondays. :-(

Isaiah was too excited about the Mississippi River to look at the camera. Oh, well!

After we stopped at the riverfront, it was time for lunch. Pizza Inn was a nice choice. I know that I won't soon forget the delicious cream cheese danish type dessert pizza. YUM!!!

Where's Isaiah? Peek-a-boo! Apparently, this was much more fun than taking a nap.

But don't worry! Isaiah finally got his nap at dinner at the Gordonville Grill.

Isaiah was a little antsy at the table, but he was having fun looking at his Aunt Rachel through the window.

Time for an ice cream treat at Sonic!
