First stop - Northbrook, Illinois
Northbrook is part of the the North Shore of Chicago. Tim found us a fantastic rate at a Crowne Plaza, and we wanted to be close to the city for Monday. Our plans were to see the Harry Potter exhibit at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.
Both kids traveled really well. It was nap time when we left, so they both fell asleep. Isaiah woke up in Milwaukee, which is about an hour and a half from Appleton. He was just chattering away about all of the cars going vroom, vroom! Mallory woke up just south of Milwaukee and enjoyed watching Isaiah.
Since we're going to be gone for so long, we decided to do a quick, cheap supper. We were on our way to Wendy's, but spotted a Popeye's instead. Can't find that in Appleton!
Isaiah had a meltdown before bedtime. Oh. My. Goodness. His teeth seemed to be bothering him. Afte a little Orajel, be was a brand new kid...for a little while. After another 45 minutes of crying, he and I took a walk down to the car to retrieve his blankie and stuffed Nemo. Finally, we could get some sleep!
