Not much is going on at the Seabaugh's today. Tim is cleaning bathrooms, and I'm working on floors. Isaiah is (supposed to be) napping, and Mallory is laying in her pack-n-play watching the animals dangle overhead.
I'm feeling so blessed today! I hope this good mood keeps up; it's much more fun than being grumpy.
This year I've decided to give something up for Lent. Tim's sermon last week got me thinking - if I'm going to do this, then I should do something that will bring me closer to God. I have decided not to gossip. Let's be honest, people. We all do it to some extent. Hopefully, it will become a habit and continue after Easter. So, if you try to gossip with me don't be offended when I clam up.
By the way, does anyone know the difference between venting and gossiping? Is there even a difference?

Becky,
There is a difference between venting and gossiping.
Venting is getting rid of a frustration that you have about something or someone that is not intended to hurt the other person.
Gossip is meant to hurt the person who you are talking about or sharing something they don't want shared.
I think Melissa hit it on the head. Venting is getting rid of anything that frustrates you, that you can't tell certain people. Gossip is sharing stuff that was only told to you in confidence and you breach that trust and tell the 'world'. We all need to vent. I don't think we gossip, we can, but mostly we all vent to each other. I don't like gossip, so Beck if I gossip please tell me to stop. On top of me giving up soda for Lent I want to also try better at not swearing, gossiping (if I do that I am not sure though), and letting the little things bug me when I am tired. ie Ryan pushing my buttons when he knows I will get crabby, extremely crabby. That is venting. Talk to you soon!
