Visiting Niagara Falls left us with a feeling much like we had last summer at Mount Rushmore - awe over such beauty. While Ontario has done a great job with tourism, the Falls are really just about looking.
Niagara Falls is made up of three waterfalls - the American Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls, and the Horseshoe Falls. Both the American and Canadian sides offer boat tours where you can experience the wind and mist. We did not choose to take a boat tour; however, I do regret not purchasing the groupon for a helicopter tour. It was a pretty good deal, and not something we would probably do with the kids should we bring them here. Oh, well. Just gives us a reason to go back, right?!
These first three pictures were taken as we walked along the rail closer and closer to the top of the Horseshoe Falls.
The larger waterfall to the left is the American Falls, and the Bridal Veil Fall is on the right.
I'm so glad the clouds went away and the sun came out so we could see some rainbows!
The rising mist looks like a huge cloud!
Niagara Falls really is something to see. Not only do I suggest you visit, but I also suggest that your visit take place on the Canadian side. The view is spectacular, and the Canadian culture is fantastic. Poutine and super polite people?! Yes, please!
